The Sandy Lane Estate
Sandy Lane is one of the most exclusive areas on the west coast of Barbados. It is a few miles south of Holetown. It is close to all the amenities of the west coast.
This is where many of the celebrities and the super-rich buy properties and property prices on the Sandy Lane Estate reflect that. Whilst it is called an estate this is not a gated development but an area with quiet roads and cul de sacs on which the very best and most beautiful detached properties are built.
Many of the properties here have views over the golf course whilst others are closer to the beach. Some of these properties (usually the older ones) come with use of a beach cabana which allows owners to store their beach equipment on the beach.
This area and its houses are the epitome of luxury, privacy and elegance and owners who are members may use the facilities of the Sandy Lane Estate Beach Club (which is not part of the hotel).
Owners and their guests may also use the tennis facilities on the estate.
Properties here tend to rent well. The whole neighbourhood is beautifully kept and very quiet. There are a few properties currently on the market which arein need of renovation. Some of these are excellent buys. Some come with separate guest cottages which are ideal for families where several generations holiday together. Some owners rent out the guest cottages to pay for the annual running costs of their properties and others use them to house staff.
This is a quiet, affluent, well -manicured area where the rich and famous often choose to live. The Sandy Lane estate is to Barbados what Bel Air is to Los Angeles.
