St Peter
St Peter is situated on the North West of Barbados. It is an area steeped in history. It is dotted with quaint fishing villages, such as the sleepy Speightstown. This is a lovely old town that has changed very little over the years. The area is home to the Barbados Wildlife Reserve. Here, animals such as monkeys, mongoose and tropical birds roam and fly freely through a dense forest of mahogany trees.
Erected in 1680 the characterful St Nicholas’s Abbey is St Peter's oldest standing structure. It is one of only three remaining Jacobean houses within the Western Hemisphere.
St Peter is a popular parish to live in. It is quiet and residential with beautiful beaches. It is also well served by the restaurants and shops in Speightstown.
